In a resounding success, Bohol’s Passport on Wheels processed 2,850 applications in four days, delivering vital services locally and underscoring the ABante administration’s dedication to the Boholanos.
The Provincial Government of Bohol, through the Bohol Employment and Placement Office-Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO), in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), conducted the Passport on Wheels from August 13 to 16.
Held at the Ceremonial Hall of the New Capitol, 2,850 applications were successfully processed by the DFA out of the 2,869 applications.
With 2,810 approved applicants, 40 rejected applications, and 19 who did not show up during their schedules.
The applicants appreciated the provincial government’s initiative, considering that the paperwork outside the province would be significantly more expensive, taking advantage of the convenient process.
Aside from this, DFA gladly announced that they will be opening a DFA office located at Alturas Mall in Tagbilaran City which will soon be open to the public from mid-November to December of this year.
Applicants also praised Governor Aris Aumentado and the provincial government for bringing essential services closer to the people, especially with the introduction of an online registration system that minimized long queues.
The Passport on Wheels is part of the three-month-long Sandugo sa Bohol 2024 celebration, under the ‘Atiman’ stream.
