Key stakeholders, partners, and sports officials gathered during the 2026 Boholympics Solidarity and Stakeholders’ Night on June 3, 2026, at the Grand Pavilion of Panda Tea Garden Suites, reaffirming their commitment to the successful conduct of this year’s provincial sports meet.
The event, organized by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) led by Metodio “Kuya John” Maraguinot Jr., highlighted the strong collaboration among the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), the Department of Education (DepEd)-Bohol Division, local government units, tournament officials, and partner institutions in advancing grassroots sports development.
In a message posted on his official Facebook page, Governor Aris Aumentado expressed optimism for a successful and enjoyable Boholympics 2026 and thanked all partners for their continued support in promoting sports development among Boholano youth.
“Nanghinaot ako nga luwas, malinawon, ug malampuson ang atong 3-day Boholympics 2026 ug nga ma-enjoy kini sa tanang partisipante, coaches, officials, ug mga supporters,” the governor said.
Vice Governor Pacifico Nicanor “Nick” Besas Jr. attended the gathering and conveyed the PGBh’s continued and full support for youth and sports development initiatives.
Also present were DepEd-Bohol officials led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Fay Luarez and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Neil Michael Olaivar, who reiterated their commitment to nurturing student-athletes across the province.
Certificates of Recognition were awarded to partner agencies, organizations, institutions, and tournament chairpersons in appreciation of their valuable contributions to the staging of Boholympics 2026.
The activity also served as a venue for coordination meetings, updates, and fellowship among sports officials and stakeholders to ensure the smooth, safe, and orderly implementation of the three-day sporting event.
The initiative forms part of the province’s continuing efforts under its Strategic Governance Roadmap to strengthen youth empowerment, sports excellence, and community partnerships across the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark. (PIMO/JSS)
