Bohol hosted the Public Employment Service Office Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP)–Central Visayas Year-End Performance Assessment (YEPA) held on June 3, 2026, at Marilou Resort, Panglao.

The assessment gathered PESO managers, Job Placement Office (JPO) managers, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region VII chiefs, focal persons, and regional representatives.

Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado delivered the welcome message, expressing appreciation to participants and highlighting the province’s role in advancing employment facilitation in the region.

He emphasized the event’s alignment with employment goals under the theme “Driving Employment Forward,” noting the simultaneous launching of the region’s initiative to generate 20,000 quality jobs and the review of employment facilitation services aimed at expanding labor market opportunities.

“As the country’s first and only UNESCO Global Geopark and Regenerative Island, Bohol is more than ready not only to serve as host but also to offer our island homeland as a vantage point for enabling public servants to develop a well-rounded and globally competitive workforce,” the governor said.

Gov. Aumentado also underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing labor sector challenges.

He stated that despite “several headwinds due to local and international developments, the push to provide more life-changing job opportunities must never waver.”

The governor further aligned the initiative with provincial development goals, noting its contribution to building a “smart, resilient, and inclusive” Bohol, aligned with Bohol’s Strategic Governance Roadmap.

DOLE Region VII Director Roy Buenafe, DOLE-Bohol Field Office Chief Vivencio Lagahid, PESOMAP VII President Kim Francisco, and Bohol Employment and Placement Office – Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO) Manager Maria Vilma Yorong were also present at the event. (PIMO/JSS)
