Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado emerged as the top-performing governor in Central Visayas based on the latest “Boses ng Bayan” survey conducted by RPMD Foundation Inc. (RPMD), reflecting strong public trust and confidence in the provincial government’s leadership and service delivery.

Presented during a press conference in BGC, Taguig, held on May 28, 2026, the survey showed that Aumentado garnered an Index of Governance (IOG) score of 68.2%, anchored on a 67.6% trust rating and a 68.9% performance rating, placing him at the top of the regional rankings.

Results of the survey are posted on the official Facebook page of RPMD.

Furthermore, the survey, conducted from April 1–8, 2026, involved 5,000 randomly selected respondents nationwide through face-to-face interviews with a margin of error of ±1% at a 95% confidence level.

RPMD noted that the results reflected sustained public confidence in the provincial government’s service delivery, healthcare and education initiatives, infrastructure programs, disaster preparedness, transparency, fiscal management, and coordination with stakeholders.

RPMD Executive Director Dr. Paul Martinez said Aumentado’s strong ratings indicate stable public confidence in the governance direction of the Province of Bohol, particularly in tourism recovery initiatives, healthcare support, infrastructure development, and local government coordination.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Gov. Aumentado expressed gratitude to the Boholano people for their continued support.

“Ang resulta sa pinakabag-ong ‘Boses ng Bayan’ survey sa RPMD Foundation, Inc., usa ka dakong inspirasyon kanato nga magpadayon sa matinud-anon ug epektibong pagserbisyo.”

He added that the survey results affirm the province’s ongoing efforts in improving healthcare, education, infrastructure, agriculture, and other essential public services.

Leading the province aligned with the Strategic Governance Roadmap, Gov. Aumentado’s recognition further underscores Bohol’s commitment to transparent, responsive, and inclusive governance as the country’s first and only UNESCO Global Geopark. (PIMO/JSS)
