The Provincial Government of Bohol, led by Gov. Aris Aumentado, turned over demarcation buoys for Sinandigan, Ubay, on February 4, 2026, at the backstage of the New Provincial Capitol Building.
A total of 18 float balls and 7 rolls of rope were turned over to local authorities through the Bohol Provincial Environment Management Office (BPEMO), headed by Jovencia Ganub, with the support of Executive Assistant Nunila Pinat.
Ganub emphasized the importance of properly demarcated coastal areas, highlighting how these materials will help protect marine resources, promote sustainable fishing practices, and safeguard biodiversity.

Executive Assistant Nunila Pinat also engaged with the community, encouraging active participation in coastal management and environmental stewardship.
This initiative reflects the Provincial Government’s commitment to strengthening coastal management, ensuring environmental sustainability, and supporting local communities in safeguarding marine resources as envisioned in the Strategic Governance Roadmap of the provincial government.
As a UNESCO Global Geopark, Bohol continues to champion initiatives that protect its natural heritage while empowering communities to actively participate in the conservation of its rich marine and terrestrial ecosystems. (PIMO/RJG)
