Governor Erico Aristotle ‘Aris’ Aumentado delivered his New Year’s message through a video posted on his official Facebook page on December 31, 2025, expressing gratitude to Boholanos for their resilience, unity, and continued support for the province.

“As we come to the close of another year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every Boholano for your resilience, unity, and unwavering love for our province,” Aumentado said.

He also noted that the year’s challenges also revealed the strength of the Boholano spirit as “matinabangon, malig-on, ug puno sa paglaum.”

In his message, the governor cited progress made in public services, the local economy, agriculture and fisheries, education, health, and environmental protection, emphasizing that these achievements were driven by cooperation between government and citizens.

“These achievements were made possible not by government alone, but through the cooperation and trust of our people,” he said.

All of these initiatives are linked to the province’s Strategic Governance Roadmap 2025–2028, which anchors development on sustainability, cultural identity, and inclusive growth, aligning with Bohol’s designation as the country’s first and only UNESCO Global Geopark.

Furthermore, Aumentado reaffirmed his commitment to good governance and transparency.

“As your governor, I remain committed to transparent, responsive, and inclusive governance,” and stressed that Bohol’s vision remains within reach through shared responsibility and compassion.

As the province welcomed the new year, he urged Boholanos to move forward together with hope and determination, care for one another, and uphold peace in their communities.

He also closed the message by extending holiday wishes to Boholano families and encouraging them to rally continued progress for the province.

“As we close this chapter, I look forward to a better 2026—guided by experience, strengthened by lessons, and driven by service,” Aumentado said. (PIMO/JSS)
