The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), through Chairman Gov. Edgar M. Chatto, thanks, commends and confers to PNP Provincial Chief Col. Dennis Palo Agustin a Plaque of Recognition for his numerous achievements and for his exemplary leadership by example because of his “no-nonsense all-out war against drugs and criminality, the kind that we would want to stay with us forever.” Gov. Chatto hand-picked Col. Agustin out of eleven applicants for the PNP Provincial Chief position because his experiences outweighed his qualifications. He was the only PMAer in the lot and is very effective in his anti-crime programs. Col. Agustin has “created a benchmark” in defending the peace and security of Bohol, prompting the governor to assure Boholanos of the newly-created standards of vigilance, dynamism and commitment which Col. Agustin has set for Bohol. Under his watch, Bohol has recorded the biggest drop in crime incidence compared to other areas in the region whose records show constantly increasing crime rates. The commendation is in support for Col. Agustin’s nomination in the Metrobank Foundation’s Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service. With Gov. Chatto and Col. Agustin are Provincial Peace and Security Cluster Head Alfonso Damalerio II, also the Provincial Administrator, and Josie Montes, Local Government Operations Officer of DILG-Bohol.
