Protected Areas (National Integrated Protected Areas System [NIPAS])

The list, prepared and updated annually by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), includes areas declared as protected through Presidential Proclamations and administered under the National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS). Includes classification and administration of all areas designated for protection to maintain essential ecological processes and life support systems and sustainable use of resources. Existing NIPAS areas in Bohol include natural park, natural monument, wildlife sanctuary, protected landscapes/seascapes and resource reserve. Useful for land use planning and research. Available at the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) in PDF with annual lists from 1995 to 2010.
